Lt W B Sherwood was flying SE 5a B534 of No 60 Sqn RFC when he was killed in action on 27 October 1917. He left Ste-Marie-Cappel aerodrome at 12.40 on an Offensive Patrol, and was shot down at Moorslede. Vzfw Carl Menckhoff of Jasta 3 was credited with a victory; it was the 15th of his eventual 39.

I hope that this helps you.
