possibly Edward based on an RDF Sgt in this list

http://www.dublincit...ica_roberts.pdf

An Edward P Heafey died in Dublin 1957.

An Edward Patrick Heafey from Naas, Co Kildare (b 1892) is in the 1911 census, in Ceylon/India with the RDF.

In Dublin in 1901 census

Many thanks Michelle, (not a lad, sorry about that, that's the second time I've done that). I see you are interested in the London Irish, anything I can help with please ask.

jdoyle, that Kildare lad sound like him, would his records have survived? Many thanks for your help.

Kind regards.

Tom.

Just had a look on Ancestry Tom and the service record doesn't appear to be there.

familysearch.org has the chap who died in 1957 as born 1892

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FTRL-46N

There is a marriage for a Heafey on Pathe video which I believe is the marriage of his sister, Florence, to John Ernest Edwards, 6th Dragoon Guards
