Recommended Posts

A gentleman by the name of Matthew Tweedale posted this on War Poets Association Facebook site and happy to have this shared.   Poetry by Siegfried Sassoon and Wilfred Owen are included in this production. Performances are in West Midlands but hoped to take production into other areas in the near future.

" This July my new theatre production 'A Journey Through War' is making its theatrical debut at Birmingham Fest and then touring at a couple of venues. The show consists of new and original monologues and scenes as well as famous world war one poetry. The play takes the audience on a journey from 1914 right through to 1918. Looking at snapshots of the characters lives and how they have been affected by the war. Themes of the show range from conscription, roles of women, death, life on the front line, shell shock, animals etc.
